Dr. Reza Olfati-Saber is the founder and chief scientist of Wisdom Agent. His twenty-five years of research in multi-agent AI and distributed systems provide the theoretical foundation for the firm’s work.

Reza’s intellectual signature is the rare combination of disciplines required to address AI accountability at the architectural level: game theory, information theory, optimization, organizational science, and AI applied at production scale. The mathematical foundations of that synthesis — recognized with the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers and cited more than 49,000 times in the academic literature — were established during his time at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Ph.D., Electrical Engineering and Computer Science), the California Institute of Technology (postdoctoral research), and the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College, where he served on the faculty.

Before founding Wisdom Agent, Reza led artificial intelligence at scale in two global enterprises. As Vice President and Global Head of AI and Data Analytics at Sanofi, he directed AI strategy for a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company and scaled a multinational team across four countries. As Managing Director and Chief AI Scientist at Ernst & Young, he directed the global AI practice for regulated industries and advised Fortune 500 clients on AI strategy and governance.

That combination — foundational theory, twenty-five years of research, and executive responsibility for AI in consequential enterprise settings — is the foundation on which Wisdom Agent is built.

It also explains where the firm begins. Having led AI inside a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company and a global professional-services firm, Reza has seen directly where AI’s unexamined answers are most dangerous: in regulated, high-liability work where a single missed detail carries consequences no model can be trusted to catch on its own. Law is the sharpest instance of that problem, and the proving ground for independent verification.
